You can be part of the amazing team in Candela now! We are looking for Junior Boat builders for our Composite area to support Candela’s future growth ambitions.

Your core responsibilities will include:
Working hands-on on building boats - mounting of hardware on the walls, trimming, laminating, assembling and finishing composite parts
Choosing the appropriate composite materials (fibers, resins, adhesives) based on the project requirements
Maintain equipment, molds, and tools
Inspect components to ensure they meet specifications and delivery targets
Document your work according to company guidelines
Follow safety rules and regulations working with personal protective equipment given by the company
Work in an international environment - our corporate language is English (including production)


What are we looking for?
You are a curious and handy person that wants to help us create those incredible boats! You should have experience working with different power and handy tools and focus on quality and precision. If you have experience from production/workshop setting, that will help you understand quicker our pace. You have the ability to learn fast and a willingness to be part of a diverse team with high working pace and short decision paths. You are also comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with chemicals involved in the process and used to or willing to use all necessary PPE.
Requirements:
Be able to communicate in English as it is required in your daily work
Experience working safely with tools and maintaining them - power tools and other handy tools
High interest in working with carbon fiber and willingness to learn more
Ability to work according to the drawings/blueprints and instructions
Attention to detail and high-quality standards
To be physically allowed to work in an environment where you are exposed to dust particles and chemicals while using proper PPE
To be able to stand for extended periods and work hands-on as well as working within tight spaces

It would be preferred if you have:
Experience from production or workshop setting
Experience from working in the boating industry
Experience of workshop tools such as trimming tools and saws
Experience with composite materials are a huge benefit

Who are you?

You have the ability to learn fast and a willingness to be part of a diverse team with high working pace and short decision paths. You are also comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with chemicals involved in the process and used to or willing to use all necessary PPE.

Experience in production environments or similar hands-on work
Experience or high interest in working with carbon fiber

About Candela
Candela’s ultimate purpose is to speed up the transition to fossil fuel-free lakes and oceans. We strive to re-think efficiency in marine transportation to radically push the performance boundaries of electric boats and ships. By combining sensors, computers and advanced submerged hydrofoils, our electric craft fly above the water, reaching speeds and range previously attained only by fossil fuel powerboats
With an increasing demand for our C-8 leisure boat and the fact that we are also venturing into public transport with the revolutionary foiling P-12 ferry, we are now scaling up production pace in Rotebro.
What we are looking for
We are seeking ambitious individuals to join our production site in Rotebro. In Rotebro, we manufacture boats from scratch - from building the initial carbon fiber components to having a finished boat. Our production in Rotebro comprises several distinct stages and teams. For instance, we have a composite team, a trimming team, a painting team, and a assembly-team.
We are looking for various experiences for different teams, but some general requirements are:
Previous experience in hands-on physical work
Ability to work in an environment exposed to dust particles and chemicals
Proficiency in English, as it is necessary for daily work

If you have experience in any of the following areas: electrical work, mechanics, industrial painting, sanding, or assembly, it would be considered advantageous.

Du arbetar stationsbaserat i en produktionsmiljö med dina kollegor nära till hands. För att utföra arbetet på bästa sätt har man en arbetsrotation, vilket innebär att man har ett varierat arbete med olika arbetsuppgifter. Det här är jobbet för dig som vill utvecklas och ha en nära kontakt till arbetsledningen och dina kollegor!

Uppdraget som båtbyggare innebär ansvarsområden inom följande:

• Formgjutning av båtar i kolfiber
• Slipning, polering och montering av olika ingående delar
• Kvalitetssäkring och sluttestning

Kvalifikationer:

Till uppdraget hos Candela söker vi dig som är händig och har en bakgrund inom produktion eller industriarbete. Det är meriterande om du har erfarenhet av arbete som båtbyggare, produktionsmedarbetare eller likvärdig kompetens.

För att lyckas i uppdraget är det viktigt att du strävar efter att göra det lilla extra och att du tar ansvar för ditt arbete. Candela är ett internationellt bolag med engelska som arbetsspråk, därför är det viktigt att du talar och skriver engelska obehindrat.

Candelas mål är att snabba på övergången till fossilfria sjöar och hav.
